The 54th Aegean Sailing Rally

During the summer Jack & Jenny sailing team aboard S/Y Alter Ego GRE 280 took part in the most demanding race there is in Greece! The 54th Aegean Sailing Rally!

The International Aegean Sailing Rally is a traditional yearly event organized by the HORC (Hellenic Offshore Racing Club). It is the oldest sailing regatta in Greece. Since 1964, it gathers contestants from around the world as well as all of Greece's top sailing teams. The route lasted 10 days from the 14th to the 24th of July 2017 and took them on particularly long leg segments through tough wind and sea conditions. They sailed from Faliro (Athens) to Syros, then from Syros to Chios, and from Chios ending in Skyros.

Jack & Jenny sailing team finished first place in the ORC Club category of the Syros-Chios leg. CONGRATULATIONS to all tough participants and their Captain, Mr Bonas! Mr Bonas is known to be a veteran sailor, being the longest active sailing member of the National Yacht Club of Greece.
